Additionally, it's good to remember that symptoms of food poisoning can start within minutes to hours if caused by a chemical agent like ammonia. If it's due to a biological contaminant like bacteria or viruses, symptoms can start as quickly as 1 hour (e.g., Staphylococcus aureus) or take as long as 28 days (e.g., Hepatitis A) to appear.
