1 month ago source favv-afsca.be

Recall notice

Wavre, Wallonia, Belgium

Delhaize, a popular food brand, has issued a recall for its Bio Comté AOP product due to the detection of Escherichia coli (STEC) strains. The product has been distributed widely in Belgium. The company has since removed all affected products from the shelves and increased controls on the product and the supplier. Other products in the same range are not affected and can be safely consumed.

The recalled product is:
- The Organic Comté AOP
- Made from raw milk
- Under the Delhaize brand.
- The product carries the EAN 2200235000000
- Belongs to the batch 6062215.
- It has a best-before date of 07/10/2024
- Was sold between 08/20/2024 and 09/26/2024.

If you have this product at home, do not consume it and return it to the store where it was purchased. Reimbursement of each affected item is guaranteed.

In case you are experiencing E. coli symptoms such as watery diarrhea (often bloody), vomiting; stomach cramps; and mild fever, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
