Solata Foods LLC is recalling several Fresh Spinach products due to a potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled “Fresh Spinach” was distributed locally in retail stores.Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. Listeria infection can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
All packages have lot numbers # 40606 and 11006 on the package and with an expiration date of 6/20/24 and 6/24/24 stamped on the side. The recalled products include various sizes and brands, with UPC codes which can be viewed in the below link.
Consumers who have purchased the affected products are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
