Indonesia
Reading about tourists falling sick or even dying after having drinks from their minibar reminds me of an experience in Indonesia when travelling up-country. A very popular drink there is Teh Botol (literally: tea in a bottle) available nation-wide in 8 oz glass bottles sealed with a crown cap. The general belief is that it is safe to drink as it comes from a factory. Stopping at a food stall to buy a snack and two of the numerous bottles of Teh Botol on display, my friend got a shock when he ventured behind the stall. One of the employees was just filling dozens of Teh Botol bottles with home-brewed tea and sealing them with crown caps !Rapports récents près de moi
