3 Famous Anthony Restaurants in Roanoke, VA linked to Hepatitis A outbreak

4 years ago source facebook.com business

6499 Williamson Road, Roanoke, 24019 Virginia, United States

Roanoke City and Alleghany Health Districts are currently investigating nine cases of hepatitis A linked to 3 Famous Anthony Restaurants in Roanoke, VA (4913 Grandin Road, 6499 Williamson Road, and 2221 Crystal Spring Ave). An employee who worked at the previously mentioned Famous Anthony’s locations has been diagnosed with hepatitis. The leadership team at Famous Anthony’s has been assisting, and is fully cooperating, with the investigation. There is NO current threat now at these locations.

The RCAHD is alerting anyone who visited any of these three Famous Anthony’s locations from August 10 through 26 only, may have been exposed.

If you are experiencing Hepatitis A symptoms like fever, jaundice, nausea, clay-colored stool, dark urine, malaise, abdominal discomfort, or vomiting, it is important to report it. It can help to detect and resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.
