Salmonella Outbreak at Resort - Hotel, San José del Cabo Baja California Sur

We were on a family trip to Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos from July 11th to July 14th, 2024. Our group consisted of six people, and we booked two hotel rooms at Hyatt Ziva. During our stay, we remained at the resort and ate exclusively at its various restaurants and buffet. Throughout our time at Hyatt Ziva, we all felt uneasy about the quality of the food. Upon returning to the United States, one member of our group developed severe symptoms and was taken to the emergency room, where they tested positive for Salmonella. The following day, two more members of our group began exhibiting the same symptoms and are currently receiving treatment at urgent care. Since we only consumed food at Hyatt Ziva during our stay and did not eat anything outside the resort or at the airport, the only potential source of the infection is the Hyatt Ziva resort. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Stomach Pain, Fever, Cramps, Chills, Headache
