Léopoldo Fruits & Légumes has issued a recall for its pistachios due to potential Salmonella contamination. The affected product was sold at their Montreal location between August 11 and September 29, 2025. The recall follows a national outbreak linked to contaminated pistachios distributed across Canada.
The recalled product is:
- Pistachios
- Were sold in variable-sized clear plastic containers at room temperature.
- They were available exclusively at Léopoldo Fruits & Légumes during the specified dates.
- The recall is classified as Class I, indicating a high health risk.
The issue was identified following a Canadian Food Inspection Agency investigation into the Salmonella outbreak. The recall was initiated on October 7, 2025.
