At Maverik on Mountain View and 9000 s. I ate a Bahama Mama hotdog with some fixings in the late morning and later that night had horrible diarrhea and about 2 days later, pain in my lower right abdomen and fever. I waited a day to see if it would go away but at 4am the next morning I had a fever of 102. So, I went to the ER and there they found a perforated ileum and I was hospitalized for 7 days and given two heavy IV antibiotics for the duration. I was sent home with oral antibiotics for 10 more days and then later went to see a gastroenterologist. He said that to him it is consistent with food born illness. So, this food poisoning ate a hole in my small intestine and caused leakage of intestinal fluid in my abdomen. Quite an ordeal. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Fever, Gas
