Outbreak

The House of Charity in Spokane, WA linked to a Norovirus Outbreak

4 years ago source spokesman.com business

32 West Pacific Avenue, Spokane, 99201 Washington, United States

The House of Charity is on lockdown due to a suspected norovirus outbreak that forced the shelter to close itself off to new guests. This place stopped accepting new people on Dec. 1, 2021.

The presence of norovirus has not been confirmed through lab testing, but symptoms in 40 people who have contracted the sickness are consistent with the disease.

In case you are experiencing norovirus symptoms, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.
