I am writing to formally report a serious food safety concern regarding the above establishment, Joe and The Juice. Based in Grand Central. I have experienced suspected food poisoning on two separate occasions after consuming food purchased from this outlet via Deliveroo. On both occasions, I ordered a tuna sandwich and a steak sandwich. Within approximately 24 hours of consumption, I developed severe symptoms including vomiting and diarrhoea. The fact that I have become unwell twice after consuming food from the same premises raises significant concerns regarding food hygiene standards, food storage, or potential cross-contamination. During the most recent incident, I noted that the tuna had a strong, unusual odour and an abnormal taste. I was unable to finish the product as it did not appear fresh or safe to consume. I subsequently became unwell shortly afterwards. There were no issues with delivery or packaging, which leads me to believe the issue originates from the preparation or handling of food at the premises. As a self-employed individual, these incidents have resulted in not only illness but also a loss of earnings, which has had a direct financial impact on me. Despite raising this complaint with the company, I was only offered a store credit, which I find wholly inappropriate given the circumstances and the severity of the issue. I am also aware of multiple similar complaints and reviews online, which suggests this may not be an isolated incident and raises further concern as to why this has not been addressed. Given the seriousness of this matter and the potential risk to public health, I respectfully request that this establishment is investigated as a matter of urgency, including a full inspection of food hygiene practices.
