Diagnosis involves stool sample testing, with treatment mainly focusing on rehydration and support; antibiotics are usually not recommended. While most recover within a week, a few may experience severe complications like Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS), more common in young children, older adults, and those with weakened immunity, characterized by bruising, pallor, and reduced urine output, requiring immediate medical attention for those with such symptoms.
Distributors and other customers who have purchased these products for further processing should not use them or further distribute them.
