I eat at this location semi-frequently (about 2/3 times monthly) and never have had an issue like this. In fact, I’ve never even had food poisoning before but. It was a very interesting, new feeling. The affected Ding Hao brand “Bean Sprouts” is packaged in a 10-pound flexible plastic bag. The product does not have a production code or sell by date listed on the package.
The presence of Listeria monocytogenes was found in the product following routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets’ food inspectors and subsequent analysis of the product by the New York State Food Laboratory.
If you have the recalled product in your home, please do not eat it, throw it away or return it to the place of purchase.

The product has been distributed to retail stores and wholesalers throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. No illnesses have been reported to date.
Listeria monocytogenes, is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headaches, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
The affected product is packaged in 10 lb bags (bulk) with no specified “Sell By” dates and 12 oz plastic bags (retail), labeled under the Chang Farm Brand as Premium Bean Sprouts and have a “Sell By” date of May 7th, 2023.
