Arrived on March 11, our 15 year old son needed medical attention on March 13. Diarrhoea vomiting exhaustion are his symptoms. Viva Beaches by Wyndham La Romana All Inclusive resort. There are two other potential cases in the next room, all our receiving IV

Salmonella at All-Inclusive Resort

Fell ill last 3 days of trip. Saw doctor at the resort (roughly $500 USD), he took a shotgun approach - said it could be salmonella, parasite, or extreme dehydration. Was able to make it back to the US where I visited my physician, did a stool sample, and confirm that it was salmonella.
