Since November 23, my partner and I have been sick with our stomachs with diarrhea. We thought it could have been something we ate at the hotel since we saw bad food at the buffet (bread with mushrooms, for example, or fruit with a rotten smell, or... butters WITHOUT AN EXPIRY DATE) we mentioned it to the waitress but it didn't matter. We've been having diarrhea for 3 days, when we arrive in our country we'll take tests to see what bacteria it is. | Symptoms: Diarrhea
2 days after arriving I got sick and keep sick a few more weeks, in Portugal (where I am from) I run a few tests and I am not sure what happened because it was not a hepatitis but it was related to their food, for sure. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea
The whole hotel seems superficially nice but it is not. I had the worst experience I ever made. It started that the rooms are wet, aircondition is not working properly, employees open in the night your door.
But the worst thing was the food poison from a... hamburger at a food truck at the beach. My girlfriend and me shared one hamburger and 3 hours later the nightmare started, i lost consciousness, diarrhea, vomiting, maximal pain you cannot imagine. Also my girlfriend had the same symptoms. We had no other food than in this hotel, no food at the airport before, stayed already 4 days in the hotel, we wash and sanitize regulary before eating our hands. So no discussion that this could come from somewhere else.
The medical service costs for some tablets and electrolyt water 336 Dollars.
When I complained about the food poisoning no one took me for serious and they told me if not all other guests have it, it can be everything.
I contacted guest service (which does not care about guests but about sending them away). I gave them my medical report but they were not interested in.
No luck. I asked for the General Manager Jorge de la Vieja. The guest service manager called and repeated in spanish: oh you don’t want to meet them?
Wow! Here they do everything to unsatisfy the guest.
I do not recommend this hotel and also not the way treating guests. As long as you pay everything is fine but when you have a problem you get ignored.
So the whole answer from the General Manager shows again that they are not interested in solving the problem, tell you they are not responsible and want to make you believe you got the food poison from somewhere else. They even do not check the bad food to avoid that other guests can get it.
There were already 10 people in Punta Cana died in a hotel from food posion and they take it that serious : zero! Thanks for playing with our health and live and try to put away the responsibility. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting

3 of the 5 travelers with us got violently ill. There is little sanitation here. They clean the tables between guests with a dry paper towel. The hibachi chef cross contaminated raw chicken with cooked rice. Several other people we spoke with were ill also and not... reporting because they couldn’t pinpoint the cause. They need food safety training. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting
The last meal I ate was at the Mexican Lindo restaurant in the resort I booked a 5 night stay at this Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. My last meal was at Mexican Lindo restaurant at the resort. Approximately 1 1/2 hours after my meal I... began experiencing severe abdominal discomfort followed by diarrhea. I barely slept that night. I checked out the next day still unsure of what brought on the discomfort and began my travels back to the States where I checked in to the hospital. Labs were done and came back conclusive positive for Colitis, food poisoning type 2. A stool sample revealed bacteria Salmonella. I was also treated for severe dehydration and lost 10lbs in the course of 24-36 hours. It was a horrible end to my stay at the resort. I deficated on myself twice. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Dehydration

We think it was at the buffet in the hotel, first my son was 8 years old, and then I, his father, it started with stomach cramps, then vomiting at the same time (at least 10 times a night), diarrhea, fever, body and body aches, chills and... headaches. It was definitely food poisoning, I then slightly have Digestible pain relievers were taken and fever juice hoping it would stay in the stomach, it only got better the next day. Please be careful with seafood and other foods that are not freshly prepared in hotels, as there are no hygiene regulations here and it is also not checked. I think that the food will be used several times and will not comply with the cold chain. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Fever, Cramps, Headache, Chills, Body Ache
Got ill from a suspected dessert at the Capers Italian restaurant at this location. Myself and other members of the party who ate the dessert all fell violently ill. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting
