“I purchased a box of Mrs. Freshley's mini powdered donuts on December 18, 2020. From the moment I opened the package, I could tell something wasn't right and my first bite confirmed it. They smelled and tasted like chemicals and they didn't exactly taste the freshest. After the 3rd donut and con... See Moretinuing to have a "chemical" taste in my mouth, I inspected one of the donuts and it "appeared" to be fine. It wasn't until I got home and tried another donut that I noticed a thick mold cloud sitting on the donuts. The last one that I had already eaten had the texture of glue and partially immobilized my tongue as I was eating it. I wasn't aware of the mold on the donut before I ate it but after experiencing the gooey mess inside my mouth, I now know that's what it was. It took several rinses and a deep scrub for the texture and taste in my mouth to come out. The next day, I had severe abdominal pains and cramping accompanied by some smelly bowel movements and diarrhea. I took the donuts back for a refund and showed the store associate the molded donuts and she said nothing. Absolutely nothing. No apologies or sympathies. Seemed like she didn't even care. “we ordered a pizza from there, The gave us the wrong order came back with the correct order. you could tell the pizza was old. we still ate it bc it was 11pm. I experienced severe abdominal cramps, I threw up twice, and its been going on for two days now. DO NOT EAT THERE!! See Less”

“I went to a this franchise located in the chevron gas station, and got a tuna sandwich with mostly vegetables. I took a few bites and then felt nauseous, and threw some of it up. See Morecall press release on two Canyon Bakehouse products to reflect additional geographic distribution for the Canyon Bakehouse Everything Bagels. The expanded distribution for the Canyon Bakehouse Everything Bagels includes retail customers in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island.
On December 3, 2020, the company recalled certain Canyon Bakehouse Mountain White Bread and Canyon Bakehouse Everything Bagels due to the potential presence of gluten. The initial recall involved products distributed to retail customers in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming. The recall was initiated after finished product testing revealed the possible presence of gluten.
This amendment covers products that had not been initially identified as part of that recall. Consumption of this product by people with a wheat allergy, celiac disease, or gluten or wheat sensitivity may cause adverse health effects or serious allergic reactions.
No related illnesses or incidents have been verified to date. Following is information about the Canyon Bakehouse Everything Bagels involved in the recall. People should not consume this product if both the UPC and Lot Number are noted on the package. Consumers should look for the last five digits of the Lot Number (20316), which is printed on the plastic closure that seals the bag.
- Canyon Bakehouse Everything Bagels. UPC: 8-53584-00221-8. Lot code: 032220316
Consumers should discard the affected product or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may call Flowers’ Consumer Relations Center at 1-866-245-8921. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.
