Phoenicia Group Inc. has issued a recall for Al Kanater brand Halawa with Pistachio due to potential Salmonella contamination. The product was distributed nationally across Canada.

The recalled product is:
- Al Kanater Halawa with Pistachio
- Packaged in 450 g containers
- With UPC 6 92551 00006 8.
- It has a best-before date of March 12, 2027
- Is from lot H51203.

The recall was initiated following test results that indicated possible contamination. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has classified this as a Class 2 recall and is overseeing the removal of the product from the marketplace.
