Alani Nu caffeinated drinks - Warning to not consume due to caffeine content and mislabeling

2 years ago source recalls-rappels.canada.ca

Canada

The CFIA is warning the public not to consume Alani Nu brand caffeinated drinks due to various non-compliances related to caffeine content and labeling requirements. These products were distributed nationwide in Canada. There have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of these products.

The affected products are all flavors which contain caffeine and do not have bilingual (English and French) labeling of Alani Nu Energy Drinks.

High levels of caffeine may have adverse health effects for children, pregnant individuals, breastfeeding individuals, and those sensitive to caffeine. Exercising while consuming caffeine may lead to adverse health effects. Some of the side effects of consuming excess caffeine may include insomnia, irritability, headaches, and nervousness.

Do not consume, use, sell, serve or distribute affected products .

If you or a loved one are harmed or experiencing any symptoms, it is important to report it. Reporting can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
