Alge Kelp Streifen seaweed - recalled due to high level of iodine

The FSAI announced the recall of Alge Kelp Streifen seaweed due to an elevated level of iodine. Acute exposure to excessively high iodine intake can lead to changes in thyroid function, primarily hypothyroidism.

The recalled product is:
- Alge Kelp Streifen, pack size: 350g, Code: 02-HUAN-12093, best before date: 18/06/2023, Country Of Origin: China

Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batch.
