Amazon, Asda, Co-op and other retailers sandwiches, wraps and salads recalled due to E. coli

Recall notice

United Kingdom

Greencore Group is taking the precautionary step of recalling various sandwiches, wraps and salads because of possible contamination with E. coli. These products were sold by retailers as Aldi, Amazon, Asda, Boots, Co-op, Morrisons, and Sainsbury’s.

E.coli has not been detected in the products listed below but are being recalled as a precaution. The full list of recalled products including the use-by dates is detailed on the link below.

If you have bought any of the above products do not eat them. Instead return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.

Symptoms caused by STEC organisms include severe diarrhoea (including bloody diarrhoea), abdominal pain, and sometimes haemolytic uremic syndrome, (HUS), a serious condition that can lead to kidney failure and can be fatal.

In case you are experiencing E. coli symptoms such as watery diarrhea (often bloody), vomiting; stomach cramps; and mild fever, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
