Compass Minerals America Inc. has voluntarily recalled its bulk salt product due to the presence of foreign material. The product was distributed to customers in U.S states of Massachusetts, Indiana, and Wisconsin.The recalled product includes the Special Purity Granulated Food-Grade Salt shipped in 1 metric ton tote and 50lb bag with UPC 041582150158, and the 44lb bag of Sifto Hy Grade Food Grade Salt. The products are identifiable by lot codes: 3240923, 3240924, 3241011, 3241022, 3241029, and 3241102. The total quantity of recalled products is approximately 67.08 metric tons, or around 148,000 pounds.
