Crushed jalapeno in oil recalled due to Insanitary Preparation and/or Packaging Conditions

Quebec's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ), in collaboration with Montreal's Food Inspection Division and La Renaissance Gourmet, has issued a recall for the company's BSTR brand crushed jalapeno in oil due to safety concerns. The recall was initiated by the company, La Renaissance Gourmet, as a precautionary measure. It was agreed upon with MAPAQ and Montreal's Food Inspection Division. As of now, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of this product.The recalled product:
- sold under the BSTR brand
- Is a unitary size of crushed jalapeno in oil.
- It was sold in transparent plastic containers and refrigerated.
-The affected batch includes all units sold up until April 21, 2024.
- Was sold only at La Renaissance Gourmet
If you have this product at home, do not consume it and return it to the store where it was purchased.
