Dale Meats Cooked Sliced Ham, Hazlett and Sliced Corned Beef - recalled due to listeria

Recall notice

Ireland

Dale Meats has issued a recall for its Cooked Sliced Ham, Hazlett, and Sliced Corned Beef products due to the detection of Listeria monocytogenes. The products have been distributed across Ireland.

Some people are more vulnerable to Listeria monocytogenes infections, including pregnant women, babies, and people with weakened immune systems, including the elderly. The incubation period (time between initial infection and first symptoms appearing) is on average 3 weeks but can range between 3 and 70 days.

The recalled products include Dale Meats' Sliced Cooked Ham, Hazlett, and Sliced Corned Beef. All batch codes and use-by-dates up to August 31, 2024, are included in the recall.

Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batches. Retailers are requested to remove the implicated batches from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale.

In case you are experiencing Listeria monocytogenes symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
