Danone has recalled Aptamil First Infant Formula after cereulide, a toxin, was identified in a specific batch. The affected product was sold in the UK.

The recalled product is:
- Aptamil First Infant Formula
- Sold in 800 g packs.
- The affected batch code is 31-10-2026
- With a best-before date of 31 October 2026.
- The presence of cereulide toxin renders the product unsafe for consumption.

Cereulide is a toxin produced by certain strains of Bacillus cereus and is highly heat-stable, meaning it is not destroyed during preparation according to standard guidelines. Danone initiated the recall and issued point-of-sale notices at retail locations to inform customers of the recall. The recall notice was last updated on 24 January 2026.
