Aldiery's Mediterranean Market Ltd is recalling a batch of Durra brand Tahina due to potential Salmonella contamination. The affected product was sold at various retailers in Auckland, Hamilton, and Lower Hutt, New Zealand, and was imported from Jordan.SOLD AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS:
- Quandhari Bazaar – 1 Saint Jude Road, Avondale, Auckland 1026
- Lotus Supermarket Stoddard Road – 64 Stoddard Road, Wesley, Auckland 1041
- Hesari Supermarket – Queens Road – 56 Queens Road, Auckland 1072
- Alkarama Market – 977 Heaphy Terrace, Fairfield, Hamilton 3214
- Kiwi Halal Meats – 286 High Street, Hutt Central, Lower Hutt 5010
AFFECTED PRODUCT:
- Durra brand Tahina
- In 800g plastic containers
- Specifically Lot No. 78
- With a best-before date of 06/04/2027.
- Was distributed exclusively through select retailers.
The issue was identified during routine testing. The recall was initiated on September 12, 2025. No other Durra brand products are affected by this recall.
