L'Ardoise Du Volailleur (Franprix) has issued a recall of 'Poulet Jaune Label Rouge Gascogne 1.4kg' because it can be contaminated with Listeria. The recall has been issued across the entire country through FRANPRIX stores.The specific details of the recalled product include two batches: GTIN 3263859235512 Lot 2074055257 with a best before date of 01/02/2024, and GTIN 3263859235512 Lot 2074055283 with a best before date of 02/02/2024. The product was available for sale from 23/01/2024 until 02/02/2024. The product is to be kept refrigerated and bears the health mark FR 33 036 001 CE.
The recall was initiated after the detection of Listeria monocytogenes, the bacterium responsible for listeriosis. The risk is further compounded by the fact that the best before date has been exceeded. The recall was published on 16/02/2024.
