Sanders Candy Factory Inc is recalling its Frosted Almond product due to elevated levels of aflatoxin. The product, distributed to one customer, was identified by the customer before reaching consumers. The recall is ongoing.The recall involves:
- Frosted Almonds
- In 20 lbs bulk packaging
- With no UPC code.
- The affected lot codes are 058.25 and 070.25
- Totaling 5,020 lbs.
- The product code is 23208.
The issue was discovered by the customer, leading to a voluntary recall initiated on March 25, 2025. The recall is classified as Class II, with the classification date on January 14, 2026.
