The New York's Department of Agriculture and Markets announced a recall of packages of Lukai sweetened jujube by Northern Food I/E Inc. because they contain undeclared sulfites. This product was distributed nationwide. No illnesses or adverse reactions involving this product have been reported to date.The recalled product is:
- Lukai sweetened jujube, 8.3 ounce red and yellow plastic package. The product UPC code is 6921996166881.
People who have a severe sensitivity to sulfites run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume this product.
Consumers who have purchased the affected product and have a severe sensitivity to sulfites are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
