Malichita brand Cantaloupes have been recalled from the marketplace due to possible Salmonella contamination. These products were distributed in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and possibly other provinces and territories in Canada.

Brand: Malichita, Product: Cantaloupes, Size: N/A, UPC: N/A, Codes: Affected products were sold between October 22, 2023 and November 1, 2023, inclusive.

Recalled products should be returned to the location where they were purchased. Consumers who are unsure if they have purchased the recalled product are advised to contact their retailer.
Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious and sometimes deadly infections. Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.
