MiO Energy brand Energy Drink Mixes have been recalled nationally due to potentially unsafe levels of caffeine. The product was distributed Nationwide. There has been one reported reaction which may have been associated with the consumption of these products.

High levels of caffeine may have adverse health effects for children, pregnant individuals, breastfeeding individuals, and those sensitive to caffeine. Exercising while consuming caffeine may lead to adverse health effects.

The recalled MiO Energy's Energy Drink Mix include:
- Product: Energy Drink Mix Tropical Passionfruit, Size: 48 mL, UPC: 0 683921 5, Codes: All best before dates which contain caffeine.
- Product: Energy Drink Mix Black Cherry, Size: 48 mL, UPC: 0 683901 1, Codes: All best before dates which contain caffeine.
- Product: Energy Drink Mix Açaí Berry, Size: 48 mL, UPC: 0 683911 8, Codes: All best before dates which contain caffeine.

The recall was triggered by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s inspection activities. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. The CFIA is verifying that industry is removing recalled products from the marketplace.

If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, contact your healthcare provider. Check to see if you have recalled products. Do not consume, serve, use, sell, or distribute recalled products. Recalled products should be returned to the location where they were purchased.
