Recall notice

Pop’s Que and Stew stew products- recalled due to production without inspection

3 years ago source fsis.usda.gov

United States

The FSIS announced the recall of approximately 12,472 pounds of frozen stew products by Pop’s Que and Stew because they were produced without the benefit of federal inspection. These products were shipped to retail locations in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee.

The recalled products are:
- 30 oz. tubs containing “Pop’s HOMEMADE BRUNSWICK STEW” with sell by dates through November 30, 2022.
- 59 oz. zippered plastic bags containing the Pop’s Que and Stew Brunswick stew product with no other identifying company or product information on the label.

These products were produced on various dates from May 2020 – May 2022. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers pantries or refrigerators. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

In case you experience harm from products, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve issues and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.
