Akula Foods Pty Ltd has issued a recall for its Savan Cinnamon Sticks and Powder due to potential chemical (metals) contamination, which may cause illness or injury if consumed. The products were sold at Indian grocery stores in Queensland, Australia.

The recall affects Savan Cinnamon Sticks in 100g and 200g sizes, and Savan Cinnamon Powder in a 200g size. The products have a manufacture date of April 2024 and a best before date of April 2027.

The issue was discovered during routine testing, prompting the company to take immediate action to ensure consumer safety.

Consumers should not eat this product. Consumers should return the product(s) to the place of purchase for a full refund.
