The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) announced the recall and a quarantine order of Raw milk produced and packaged by Schoch Family Farmstead, Inc. of Monterey County because of the presence of the bacteria Campylobacter jejuni. To date, no illnesses have been reported.

The recalled product is:

- Schoch Family Farmstead Grade A Raw Milk, half-gallon (1.89 L) glass bottles and marked with the Best By date “06/18” on the bottle cap.

This recall does not include other lots or dairy products manufactured by Schoch Family Farmstead, Inc.

If you have the recalled product at home, please do not drink it, throw it away, or returned it to the place of purchase.

In case you experience Campylobacter symptoms such as diarrhea (often bloody), fever, nausea, vomiting, and stomach cramps, report it now. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.
