Steinlager Ultra Low Carb beer recalled due to Incorrect Labeling

Lion NZ (LION) Limited has issued a recall for its Steinlager Ultra Low Carb beer due to incorrect labeling as alcohol-free. The product, containing 4.2% alcohol, was distributed to retailers and hospitality businesses throughout New Zealand.AFFECTED PRODUCT:
- Steinlager Ultra Low Carb 24 Pack (24 x 330 ml)
- With a best-before date of 21/10/26.
- The product is packaged in a cardboard box with clear glass bottles
- Some of which are mislabeled as alcohol-free.
- Correctly labeled Steinlager Alcohol Free is sold in green glass bottles.
The issue was discovered on March 4, 2026, prompting the recall. No other Steinlager products are affected.
