Three Rivers Golden Raisins recalled due to Undeclared Sulfites

New York State Agriculture Commissioner Richard A. Ball has issued a consumer alert regarding the presence of undeclared sulfites in "Three Rivers" brand golden raisins, repackaged by Shata Trades Inc. The product may pose a risk to individuals with severe sulfite sensitivity. The product may have been distributed throughout New York State.The issue was discovered during routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets food inspectors. Subsequent analysis by New York State Food Laboratory personnel revealed the product contained high levels of sulfites, which were not declared on the label. The "Three Rivers" brand golden raisins were found to contain 128.76 milligrams of sulfites per serving.

- Packaged in a clear 400-gram plastic bag.
- The UPC code for the product is 793283750198.
Consumers are advised not to consume the product and to return it to where they purchased it.
