True Natural Goodness Organic Turmeric Powder - recalled due to unauthorised Pesticide

The FSAI announced the recall of some batches of Organic Turmeric Powder by True Natural Goodness due to the presence of unauthorized pesticide ethylene oxide. This pesticide is not authorized for use in foods sold in the EU.

The recalled products are:
- True Natural Goodness Organic Turmeric Powder (25g), All best before dates between 10/11/2022 to 11/03/2023
- True Natural Goodness Organic Turmeric Powder (50g), All best before dates between 10/11/2022 to 11/03/2023
- True Natural Goodness Organic Turmeric Powder (250g), All best before dates between 10/11/2022 to 11/03/2023
- True Natural Goodness Organic Turmeric Powder (500g), All best before dates between 10/11/2022 to 11/03/2023

Although the consumption of the contaminated product does not pose an acute risk to health, there may be health issues if there is continued consumption of ethylene oxide over a long period of time. Therefore, exposure to this substance needs to be minimized.
