The CFIA announced the recall of Al-Rabih brand Tahini by Phoenicia Group Inc. due to possible Salmonella contamination. This is the 2nd update to include additional product information, the first recall was issued on June 14, 2021, and the second on June 23, 2021. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.The recalled product is:
- Al-Rabih Halva / Halawa – Plain / Traditional (454 g), UPC: 7 70338 10055 9, Lot #184 34520 Best before 01/DE/22
This product was distributed in Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, possibly nationwide in Canada.
If you have the recalled product at home, please do not eat it, throw it away or returned it to the place of purchase.
