Vegâteau inc. is recalling pistachio macarons and chocolates due to potential Salmonella contamination. These products were sold at the company's Montreal location and online across Canada, linked to contaminated pistachios from Iran.AFFECTED PRODUCTS:
PRODUCT: Pistachio macaron
- Format: Box of 6 or 12 units
- Lot Targeted: Units sold between July 3 and November 25, 2025
PRODUCT: "Pistachio chocolate"
- Format: box of 9 or 24 units
- Lot Targeted: Units sold between July 3 and November 25, 2025
The macarons were refrigerated, and the chocolates were sold at room temperature.
The issue was identified following a national Salmonella outbreak. The recall is classified as Class I.
