2017 - After 2 days on the resort I became extremely ill with diarrhea. Not the normal travelers diarrhea. I couldn't get out of the bed and stayed in the bed sleeping or going to the bathroom the rest of the week. I had to buy diapers to fly home it was that bad. Once we got home I went to the ER and was told I had not only salmonella but also Ecoli. I was given antibiotics but after a week I was no better. I was given fluid 3 times during this week and was still severely dehydrated. I went to the ER again and was admitted to the hospital. I stayed a week due to the strain of salmonella not responding to antibiotics. Infectious disease was brought in to try and figure out how to cure it. I lost 15 lbs the 7 days I was in Punta Cana. We had visited Punta Cana 6 other times with no issues (at a different resort). The infectious disease doctor believes I contracted the illnesses from a cucumber that had a peel on it. | Symptômes: Diarrhée
