After reading all of the articles posted pertaining to the Domincan Republic illnesses, I feel compelled to speak out. Several weeks ago, I was in Punta Cana on a bachelorette party with a group of 17. We stayed in a private villa ran by a corporation. Unfortunately, the trip took a turn when three of us came down with a horrific case of what we at the time chalked up to be food poisoning. The classic symptoms were present and we found ourselves sweating, vomiting and with extreme cases of diarrhea. The strange factor was that all 17 of us had eaten the same food but only 3 of us contracted the illness. We were essentially bed ridden for the remainder of the trip and sick after returning home as well. After reviewing all of the articles, I am no longer certain that we had food poisoning. It seems as if we had all of the same symptoms as those who became ill from the organophosphates. | Symptômes: Diarrhée, Fièvre, Nausée, Vomissements, Transpiration
