A popular Chinese restaurant was forced to close its doors after Department of Public Health and Social Services inspectors visited the Tumon establishment yesterday and found dozens of sanitary violations.

Inspectors visited VIP House II on Monday afternoon for a regular inspection after receiving a complaint about the presence of cockroaches in the facility. While DPHSS staff found no evidence of live roach activity, they found numerous violations and gave 58 demerits and a “D” rating resulting in the restaurant’s immediate closure and suspension of its sanitary permit.
