Acidic Yogurt Drink Warning - Activia, El Paso Texas

I want to give some light to those who have had a problem with Activia yogurt. Today it was the first time I ever tried it. I took one drink of it after breakfast and 30 minutes later after I got a very horrible middle chest pain and pain in my upper stomach and tachycardia (fast heartbeat). When I first drank it, it tasted very strongly acidic and burning but decided to try 1 zip anyways (I did not finish the bottle). This was the reason i only took one drink as I'm careful of what I eat because I suffer a lot from acid Reflux (GERD) and anything can trigger it..One drink was enough to cause these horrible symptoms on me.

At lunch time my mom asked me if I had liked the Yogurt because she had taken a zip of it from my bottle and she told me that it burned her tongue really bad and she did not even take the whole drink. The burning is kind of like when your tongue gets burned by pineapple or mouth wash. I told her what had happened to me and concluded that there is something in this drink that that is very strong for some of us and irritates the insides.

It may be that this product is very acidic or some ingredient in it does not sit well with some of us who are sensitive to it specially if we have Acid reflux it can burn your esophagus or the entry to the stomach if its already irritated. Acid reflux can cause you symptoms like food poisoning. stomach pains, chest pains, vomiting, nausea i know because i suffer from it. Those of you who drank more bottles you started to feel bad because eventually it started to irritate your insides. Same thing happened to me when I ate a lot of pineapple years ago, I felt like dying horrible with all the acid.

Maybe the manufacture can look into this and its ingredients, and do something about it because something in this yogurt is definitely very strong. I'm sure you guys will be ok once you stop drinking it your stomach will heal. I'm not diagnosing you guys but just to let you guys know that this product is very irritating to some and this might be your case. Just take your probiotcs in capsules instead. As a reminder always take a small amount of these health products first so you can test how your body reacts.
