American Outdoor Products, Inc. is recalling its Astronaut Strawberries due to elevated levels of lead. The product has been distributed nationwide.

The recall involves the Astronaut Strawberries, sold in 0.5oz (14g) metallic plastic pouches. The product can be purchased individually or in 6, 12, 40, or 160 count cases. It is also included in the Outerspace Survival Dessert Kit. The recall affects 14,235 units with UPC: 048143300106 and lot numbers: 125130, 125133, 20240509-6, 20240509-7, 20240514-6, 20240524-2, 20240607-2, 20240711-2, 20240719-2, 20240723-2, 20240807-2, 20240808-2, and 20240816-2. The best before dates range from 12APR27 to 07AUG272.

The issue was discovered through the firm's own testing and the recall was voluntarily initiated. The recall is ongoing and the product has been distributed across the United States.
