Vermin Infestation Shuts Pizzeria - Cataldo's Pizzeria, Bakersfield California

Closure Date: 09/20/2019According to the public health Safe Diner website , health inspectors visited the pizzeria Friday for an inspection. Health inspectors found a clogged drain, food debris and evidence that the facility failed to demonstrate proper food safety knowledge.
In the report, inspectors noted that the owner continued to operate with an active vermin infestation. Inspectors found cockroaches on food counters, in food containers, in the main lobby, in drains and inside an open dry pizza mix. Inspectors are requiring the facility to remain closed until all of the vermin infestation has been abated and the facility is reinspected.
