“After about 8 to 10 hours of eating nuggets, i had intense vomiting and diarrhea for 24 hours and still have diarrhea/vomiting at 48hours now I only had a coffee and muffin for breakfast, then around 4pm had the chicken there. Then, at about 3 or 4am (10 to 12... hours later) that night I burst awake feeling absolutely horrible and had diarrhea, Vomiting, blurry vision, trembling for about 24 hours straight. It's now been 48 hours and I am still fighting to hold down the water I drink from throwing up. ”
“It's the second time I've had a cobb salad and instantly got diarrhea, and I believe it gone into diverticulitis. ”
“I love it but maybe 30 minutes after eating a chicken sandwhich meal I had been feeling beyond nauseas and my stomach was in knots. I’ve never had food poisoning before and always wondered how people can immediately know that it is food poisoning, but now I know. I wouldn’t... wish this pain on anyone as it’s the next day now and I still feel awful. ”
“We both had the cobb chicken salad and it's been a week and we are still very sick 2 of us and our 2 dogs. Within 4 hours ”
“I had a mango and strawberry smoothie. I drink it on the way to work and started feeling so nauseous and felt like I was about to puke. Now I’m at work on my 1hr break in the restroom with diarrhea! I work at a call center I can’t keep... going to the restroom will I’m on calls. This is my second time at this place and the experience was not good at all! I got sick drinking it while at work ”
“The chicken tenders 4 family members 3 all under 15 and 1 adult. Within about 30 minutes most all started complaining of stomache aches and need to use restroom. I had to send my 3 nieces n nephew home because they were unable to sit at the table due to... nausea. 2 days in barley feeling better. Vomiting and diarrhea was bad.. ”
“I strongly believe it was Red Blossom strawberries purchased at the grocery store. I noticed brown patches and spots resembling mud on some of the strawberries. I rinsed the berries under running water, cut out sections that appeared spoiled, sliced the berries, then ate a few pieces - probably the... equivalent of 1 - 2 berries. I woke up this morning, approximately 10 1/2 hours later with constant diarrhea for about 1 1/2 hours. Diarrhea has subsided, but stomach cramping remains. I think it wasn’t worse because I only ate a few pieces. I tried to trace the berries at the website provided by Red Blossom on the bottom of the strawberry container, but when I entered the number indicated on the bottom of the container, with no spaces as directed, it says the number entered doesn’t match a number in their system. I triple checked the number and tried leaving the site and going back and reentering the number, all with no success. Now the diarrhea had subsided, it returned around 12:30 or 1:00 and has continued throughout today, at least once every hour ”
“There is some confusion surrounding the current Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak that began in December 2019 and whether you can get it through food. Here is some information:
Feb 26 UPDATE: The Chinese CDC is investigating the possibility that the virus can be spread through fecal matter that could possibly... contaminate food and water. The Chinese CDC has found live viruses in stool samples of COVID-19 patients and can be a partial explanation for the rapid spread of the disease. The agency is recommending strengthening sanitation and hygiene measures.
What is Coronavirus?
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses found in both animals and humans. Past outbreaks include Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The current novel(a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans) Coronavirus strain called 2019-nCoV is thought to originate in live food markets in Wuhan, China through animals and human contact.
How is it transmitted?
Coronaviruses strains are usually transmitted through the respiratory system, so it is typically thought of as a low risk of infection from contaminated food. Restaurants can be a site of transmission of coronavirus because of the large numbers of people congregating in close quarters and then coughing/sneezing could spread the disease just like in other places (transportation, schools, etc). But the food itself normally isn’t a likely vehicle.
The current Coronavirus strains 2019-nCoV has been found in stool samples of COVID-19 patients by the Chinese CDC which means that the current outbreak might be transmitted from multiple routes not just through the respiratory system as usual.
Signs of infection?
Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases and those with weakened immune systems, an infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death.
World Health Organization (WHO) recommends standard measures to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth+nose when coughing/sneezing, and avoiding close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing. Additional recommendations from the Chinese CDC include strengthening health publicity and education; maintaining environmental health and personal hygiene; drinking boiled water, avoiding raw food consumption, and implementing separate meal systems in epidemic areas; frequently washing hands and disinfecting of surfaces of objects in households, toilets, public places, and transportation vehicles; and disinfecting the excreta and environment of patients in medical facilities to prevent water and food contamination from patients’ stool samples.

“Someone up in the rank needs to seriously fix the food problem served at that place. It's cold food and been out for awhile and some of it's old and moldy. Many people have told me they get very ill from the food .. so I'm not the only one.... It's horrible to feel that sick from food. ”
“Steamed KingCrabLegs With 30 minutes of eating the steamed king crab legs which really I should not have eaten because they were cold but I assumed they were making sure that they weren't sitting out longer than they should. Anyway I ate 3 king crab legs, 3 hush puppies which... were warm and tasted fine e and a very small slice of prime rib which was sliced fresh and was warm. So the crab legs must have been what made me sick. There was only o e bite that tasted funny but it was one of the last pieces that I ate. Within 10 minutes I started feeling grumbling in my stomach and 10min later I went and threw my guts up ”
“I was poisoned by a Cheese omelette on Emirates flight from Dubai to Sydney. Caused severe stomach cramps within two hours of eating it followed by relentless vomiting & diarrhoea for the remaining of the flight. A section of the plane was curtained off whilst a doctor on board checked... my vitals and blood sugar levels. A doctor on ground approved drugs to be administered to stop the cramps & vomiting however I couldn’t keep them down long enough. Upon arrival to Sydney the on-ground medics came aboard and gave me the clear to leave the aircraft. I was eventually taken off the flight in a wheelchair as I was too weak to walk and carry my bags. This was the worst experience I have endured with an illness and thought during the flight that something bad may happen to me; especially with Coronavirus circulating. I was travelling alone. It was just me that became unwell. My flight was Tuesday Feb 11th and I am still experiencing nausea, diarrhoea & lethargy. ”
“I purchased it around 3 or 4pm ate two pieces and relaxed. A few hours later I’m having diarrhea vomiting and nausea. Don’t know what to do. I can’t move was thinking about calling rescue. What should I do? ”
