I ate Chick-fil-A at work, and felt very weird a 1/2 hour to an hour later. A few hours after that, I needed to poop. The sewage line was down at my university so my coworkers and I who had to use the restroom walked over to a restaurant nearby. That was the first time I had a really soft stool, almost like diarrhea. Fast forward to yesterday morning, I was having explosive diarrhea, extreme nausea, and severe dehydration. I lost 7 pounds in one day, which has never happened to me before from food poisoning. It got work later that night and I went to the ER, clenching my stomach, barely able to walk. They put me in a wheelchair and gave me two liters of IV fluid as well as Lamotil and Zofran through my IV for my severe nausea and explosive diarrhea. They took my blood and urine samples and the ER doc came back later and told me it’s either a bad virus or food poisoning. Honestly I believe it’s food poisoning because the timeline all lines up. I almost started puking last night at the ER. I smelled awful. I felt awful. I felt like I was fading and like my body was going to shut down. I honestly felt like I was going to die.
