“On multiple occasions and attempts at consuming ground turkey as a potential ground beef substitute, I've encountered the same issues time and again. Bloating, gas, severe runs, and cramps. The brand was called Jennie-O(s?), and tasted fine, was cooked thoroughly, but still yielded the same results. ”

“I am writing with concerns that a product they are currently distributing has made me ill. I purchased the Southern Grove Cashew nuts with sea salt. After eating a handful Monday Nov. 23rd I became ill with a server stomach ache. This afternoon I ate more of these nuts to soon realize I was experien... cing the same illness. My husband had to rush me home so I could use the restroom and lay down. I am still experiencing stomach pain and hopping this will subside so I do not need medical attention. It was apparent that after consuming these nuts I became ill. I checked the recall list and noticed the same brand had been recalled in August of this year. ”

The Fresh Market, Good & Gather and more Organic Basil - recalled due to possible Cyclospora contamination
November 24, 2020 6:01 PM
“Company name: Shenandoah Growers, Inc
Brand name: The Fresh Market, Good & Gather and more
Product recalled: Organic Basil
Reason of the recall: Possible Cyclospora contamination
FDA Recall date: November 24, 2020
Recall details: Shenandoah Growers, Inc (Harrisonburg, VA) out of an abundance of... caution, has issued a limited, voluntary recall of approximately 15,000 units in select packages, due to a possible health risk from Cyclospora. These were packed under branded and private label fresh cut organic certified basil clamshells at its Jefferson, GA facility and Harrisonburg, VA facility with the following lot codes, all with the country of origin of Colombia.
Recalled products were distributed to select retail stores between 10/20/2020 and 10/30/2020 in various states including Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Washington DC. Click on the link below to see the full list of affected lot codes.
The Shenandoah Growers recall includes only those clamshells of certified organic basil clearly marked with the affected lot codes listed above. The lot code can be found printed on each clamshell. This precautionary recall notification is being issued due to an isolated instance in which a package pulled by the Florida Department of Agriculture on 11/2/2020 from a retail store in Florida indicated the potential presence of Cyclospora.
Affected Shenandoah Growers customers have been notified of the recall and instructed to immediately remove and discard recalled products from all store shelves, distribution and other inventories to ensure they are no longer available for sale or consumption. These products were harvested and packed nearly 4 weeks ago and should no longer be in commerce.
No other Shenandoah Growers products are subject to recall, and the company has no knowledge of any illness reported or related to this product. Consumers who may have a recalled basil product should discard it immediately and not eat it. Consumers with questions, or to obtain refunds, may contact the Shenandoah Growers Consumer Response Center at 844-896-6939 Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Eastern time.

“I ordered via DoorDash just before midnight on 11/24. The burgers clearly had been reheated, which means the food was potentially in the trash can prior. The quarter pounder and the mcdouble packaging had white greasy chunks and slime like substance melted all over it. I had went to open the box whe... n the smell got to me and the fries I ate prior which were also soaked in grease like they too, had been reheated. It seems the staff at this location should have the video tape pulled on them to verify they are not tampering with the food, because around 1am on 11/25 just 5 minutes after eating the McCurry first and the fries, I had puked from the overwhelming experience. I looked at the bun from the quarter pounder and it also had burn marks like the bread was burnt from being reheated as only part of the bun was burnt slightly more than the rest, but was still firm like bread gets after its sat out from being reheated again. I puked twice and I have a throbbed in my neck from the force of the puking. I have a oversalted and greasy taste in the back of my throat and this is very discomforting. I feel very sick to my stomach still and its very uneasy. I would like some action taken see the images for yourself. ”

“On Friday November 20,20 around 7:30 pm I ate the garden salad there. My husband had the steak with fries and coke slaw. I shared the sales with my husband, he ate a little but I ate most of it ( entirely). At 8:30 I started feeling sick with nausea and stomach ache. Little later, I started vomiting... . I had been sick for the last 3 days. All symptoms of dehydration, vomiting, diarrea, dizziness, weakness and muscle ache. Lastly, bloody stool. I thought I was dying. My husband develop mild symptoms, I guess because he ate less amount of the salad. I reported to food poison and they call me back yesterday. They said will move up with the report. The salad was contaminated. There is a salad recall up north for E.coli as well. ”

FSIS advises consumers not to eat the recalled products and to throw them away or return them to the place of purchase. - 9.75-oz. carton containing a plastic bag with 12 pieces of “Mac & Cheese Bites” and lot code 20272 or package code BEST IF USED BY: MAR 22 2022 on the end panel of the carton.
