Snapper Illness: Possible Ciguatera - Coles, Phillip Australian Capital Territory

3 years ago reported by user-brpn6638 business

Coles, Hindmarsh Drive, Phillip ACT, Australia

Hindmarsh Drive, Phillip, 2606 Australian Capital Territory, Australia

Ate red snapper (Saddletail Snapper, Lutjanus malabaricus). Meal did not sit well for us in our stomachs immediately after. Within two hours wife began vomiting many times through the night. I had diarrhea early next morning. Aches and pains. Both slept mostly for 36 hours. Wondered if we got ciguatera poisoning. There is a gastro going around but the illness seemed to be well associated with after the meal. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Gas
