1 person had — nausea and vomiting
“I have been purchasing products from their frozen line of foods for over a decade and never once had an issue. That was until yesterday. I had purchased several frozen meals, including Shepherd's Pie, that I keep in the freezer that are microwavable. These items was purchased on September 17,... 2019. I took the Shepherd's Pie to work yesterday and within an hour, I started getting really bad stomach cramping. 7- 8 hours later I was doubled over in pain and became violently ill with intense stomach pains and vomiting for several hours, and diarrhea. I believe it was food poisoning as it was the only thing I ate yesterday. Unfortunately I no longer have the box it came in as it was disposed of at work. ”
“I came into eat with my daughter whom is 15 and myself, she ordered the veggie burger and a soda and I had 3 chicken tenders and a custard vanilla shake. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant, but her veggie burger, she says tasted really good, was not all... that impressive to me for a $9.79 burger. I had the chicken tenders and while the outside was crunchy, the inner chicken was cooked, but on the undercooked side. I had a vanilla shake as well. We ate approximately 230 pm on 11/17/2019. Around 3am, she woke up with explosive diarrhea and vomiting, she was nauseated with severe abdominal pain as well. She did not eat anything else unusual or out of the ordinary that afternoon or earlier that day, we ate at home. I strongly suspect she has food poisoning from the burger especially since I did question the quality of their food at the time/ prices too high/ lack of appeal. Thank you. ”

“Yesterday 17 Feb (Tuesday) around 7.30pm, we got 4ppl went to your restaurant to eat dinner, we ordered plenty of sushi and other dishes. Your sushi is terrible, tasteless, especially salmon sushi and egg mayo, not fresh, I suspected this is the cause that one of my friend got food... poisoning after eat your sushi, vomit and diarrhea since yesterday night, another friend not feeling right after eating your food. I stomachache since yesterday until this morning only recover after I went the toilet. We pay to eat and enjoy your fresh and quality dishes, not food that losing freshness and tasteless. Is it right for a restaurant to serve such awful dishes for a customer especially raw food that can bring a lot of issue after eating if the food losing freshness? Can you bear the responsibility if the customer don't feeling well and get life threatening cause by food poisoning after eating your food? How do your restaurant responsible for our illness after eating your food? ”
“Eatting from there hours ago Around 6 or 7 pm I got hungry and eat there and after a minute my stomach rumble a bit while I was working door dash, hours later I threw up working and after I finish my order I parked anywhere and started to feel... worst and now I threw up more ”
“Water - Not sure if it’s the gallon of water I bought from here but most likely. The cap seemed opened already, it just came off without separating from the other piece that usually gets left on the bottle. I didn’t think anything of it until a few minutes after... dinner when I noticed my daughter’s face/cheeks being red. Then I looked in the mirror and my face/cheeks was also flushed red. This only happens to me with alcohol. I don’t drink alcohol because I’m allergic to it. The symptoms I’m experiencing right now is the same symptoms as when I take one sip of alcohol. I get a headache and my face feels warm and my heart starts beating fast. I took my blood pressure and it was high. My heart is also palpitating. My daughter’s blood pressure is also elevated and her heartbeat keeps going up and down from 77 to 125, according to her Apple Watch. This is very weird. ”
“Valentine’s Day 2020. I ate the daddy burger which was different to the food my husband and family members ate. I’m the only one ill. We ate around 6pm and by 8am I was feeling sick and the diarrhoea began. The stomach cramps started midway through the day and the... diarrhoea has worsened! I haven’t eaten anything else that can cause this as I only had toast before the meal all day and again this morning till the diarrhoea began! ”
“Purchased 2 Papa Burgers Monday evening, my Daughter and I both got sick, she went to school on Monday but called home saying she was sick. I've had bad stomach cramps & headaches and I've been s*ng pure black. Its ruined 3 days plus I still feel bad, my wife... and son are not sick as only my daughter and I had it. When I get better I'll make up a sign and walk back & forth in front of the store which says.
" I bought food here a few hours after eating it I was very sick, it gave me the s*s and bad headaches and a fever, no fun involved in this " ”
“There is some confusion surrounding the current Coronavirus (called 2019-NocV) outbreak that began in December 2019 and whether you can get it through food. Here is some information:
What is Coronavirus?
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses found in both animals and humans. Past outbreaks include Middle East Respiratory... Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The current novel Coronavirus (a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans) is thought to originate in live food markets in Wuhan, China through animals and human contact.
How is it transmitted?
Coronaviruses such as the current 2019-NocV are transmitted through the respiratory system, not the gut, so there is a low risk of infection through the consumption of contaminated food. Restaurants can be a site of transmission of coronavirus because of the large numbers of people congregating in close quarters and then coughing/sneezing could spread the disease just like in other places (transportation, schools, etc). But the food itself isn’t a likely vehicle.
Signs of infection?
Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases and those with weakened immune systems, an infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death.
Recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO):
Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth+nose when coughing/sneezing, and avoiding close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.
