Symptoms: Nausea Other Bloating Stomach Pain

My mother sent two boxes of Thin Mints. Both my husband and I got very sick. I thought it might have been a bug, but I ate some more a few days later and now I’m sick again. Same barcode as the ones from NJ. I have always eaten Thin Mints and never got sick like this. Lots of bloating and stomach pain.

“Twice I ate the Cali chicken bacon ranch pizza. Both times I got severe food poisoning after eating only about two slices.
The first time began with severe intestinal cramping. I was in such abdominal pain I almost decided to go to the hospital. I broke out into intense fever/chills and sweats and... See Morecouldn’t move outside the fetal position. The debilitating pain lasted 20-30 minutes before I experienced severe diarrhea for around an hour. I did not experience vomiting that time.
The second time I woke up in the middle of the night, again with severe abdominal cramps. After about 30-40 minutes of extreme abdominal pain I vomited violently and uncontrollably for around 10-15 minutes. absolutely the worst vomiting I’ve ever experienced. When the vomiting subsided I experienced heavy diarrhea for around 40-50 minutes and intermittent diarrhea for the next 2-3 hours.
The two meals were ordered from two different locations. The first from Southborough, Massachusetts and the second from here. Roughly a year apart. These were by far the most severe cases of food poisoning I’ve ever experienced. I am an adventurous eater and tend to have a strong stomach for different kinds of foods, but have never experienced food poisoning remotely close to this severity. See Less”

This recall is due to possible undeclared allergens (wheat and tree nuts) in Dole™ Sunflower Crunch Chopped Salad Kit. The dressing and topping kit (master pack) designed for a different Dole product was unintentionally used during a portion of the production of the salad. Dole Fresh Vegetables, Inc. is coordinating closely with regulatory officials. No illnesses nor allergic reactions have been reported to date in association with the recall. However, people who have an allergy to wheat and tree nuts may have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The product lot code and Best if Used by Date are located on the upper right corner of each bag and the UPC code is located on the bottom right corner of the back of each bag. The impacted products were distributed in OH, NY and WI. Consumers are advised to check product they have in their homes and discard any product matching the production description, UPC codes, product lot code and Best if Used by Date listed above.

No other Dole products are included in the recall. Only Dole™ Sunflower Crunch Chopped Salad Kit with the exact UPC code, lot code and Best if Used by Date identified above are included in the recall.
