Buffet Vomit Ignored, Uncleaned - Golden Corral, Arlington Texas

On 10/6, my family and I went to Golden Corral. We found a seat in the very back and headed to the buffet! A man was leaning over on the wall directly next to the salad bar vomiting all over the wall and spilling down onto the floor! I watched this man for a good 30 seconds in utter shock at what was occurring. A few customers noticed but no employee was acknowledging that this man was regurgitating the contents of his stomach in the middle of the buffet. I know several workers saw this because I said something to them and they looked in the direction. I don’t know if it was a language barrier or what but they didn’t respond and just shook their heads in disgust. No one was actively doing anything to try and get this man to move or to block off the part of the buffet that likely became contaminated with his bodily fluids. I went back to the table to notify my husband who stayed back with our daughter that we were getting a refund and leaving. It took maybe 2-3 minutes for this conversation to occur and to strap our daughter back into her car seat. We then walked to the front of the restaurant which meant we had to walk past the scene of the crime. The man was now gone, but the vomit puddle was still sitting there. Customers continued to grab food, paying no mind to the puddle on the floor. The salad bar was not closed down or blocked off, nor was the vomit puddle. I went to the front to request my refund from what appeared to be the manager. He had a different color shirt on the was a different material. He was very rude in my opinion. I asked him if he was aware someone just vomited in the middle of the buffet and he said no. I would’ve understood if he made me wait to get my refund so he could make sure the situation was addressed real quick, but instead he proceeded to give me my refund. I’m not sure if the vomit was ever even cleaned up. The vomit puddle blended in really well with the wall and floor. It could be really hard to notice if you didn’t really know what it was. So if anyone became ill after eating at this restaurant, this is probably the source of your infection.
